Steve Jobs was known for computers, however in 2007 he came out with what is possibly the greatest invention of all time, the iPhone. In the same year he also introduces Apple TV, along with the suggestion of changing Apple from Apple Computers Inc. to Apple Inc. to better reflect it's new products.
The iPhone was so significant because it was the first touch screen hand held device ever. The only other phones at the time were Nokia and Motorolas, and they only had one purpose; to call and text. They were basically a brick with advantages. The iPhone changed technology in many ways, from changing the world of software distribution, to taking over the mobile gaming market, to the idea of a touch screen phone. IPhones have developed majorly over the years. The invention of the iPhone was life changing and impacted the world for years to come, because millions of people nowadays have iPhones. The iPhone is more than just a gadget, it was the brainchild of Apple, and a personal handheld computer. Every time you hear the word Apple. you think of iPhones. IPhones have impacted society in unbelievable ways, from texting, to calling, to media.
